IRD have been circulating this letter outlining the upcoming changes to myIR. We have received lots of these as a tax agent and suspect many of you have also received this letter.
The myIR system will be shut down for an extended period over Labour Weekend for these changes to be implemented. The shutdown dates are 3pm Thursday 21st October to the morning of Thursday 28th October. For payday filing, these dates are not counted as working days for filing purposes, so any returns due during this period can be filed within two workings days of the 28th October. An extension to 4th November 2021 has been approved for filing and paying GST and provisional tax.
